Work-based Learning

Students from one of our existing mobility partners (see eligibility below) can conduct work-based learning at the University of Glasgow.

Work-based learning consists of academic research or project work where the work conducted at the University of Glasgow will transfer back to your home university and form an integral part of your final home University degree.

Students accepted for formal work-based learning through the Visiting Students Team will have student status at the University of Glasgow.

IMPORTANT: Formal work placements, paid and unpaid internships, volunteer positions, and any research positions which amount to short-term cover for a formal job role within the University of Glasgow cannot be supported through this route. This route supports academic research/credit-bearing project work only. This is due to student visa restrictions.
