Postgraduate research and DClinPsy student working group

Published: 23 October 2023

Group chairs Jessica Fish and Jelena Milicev invite PGR and DClinPsy students with an interest in all things equality, diversity and inclusion to join their working group!

The SHW Athena Swan PGR/DClinPsy group focusses on gender-sensitive issues as they relate to our SHW Postgraduate Research (PGR) community, which comprises mainly students on our PhD and DClinPsy programmes.

Around 70% of our PhD students and over 80% of our DClinPsy students are female.

Our group’s activities include monitoring the gender balance of our PGR student population as well as application and selection statistics, identifying any gender-sensitive issues in relation to student experience and career progression, and reviewing course information and policies for gender-sensitive improvements.

We meet 3–4 times per year and are currently seeking new group members, particularly from the student population.

If you are a PGR student and would like to find out more, please make contact with co-chairs Jelena Milicev (2148601m@student.gla.ac.uk) and Jessica Fish (jessica.fish@glasgow.ac.uk).
