The Creative Impact Lab provides a collaborative interdisciplinary research environment that focuses on how to build engaged relationships with communities, industries, policy makers, artists and practitioners to produce impactful change. Our core belief is that creativity fosters innovation, expression and collaboration, leading to new ways of imagining, practising and evidencing impactful research.

The Creative Impact Lab provides knowledge, support and practical skills for developing research, impact and engagement.
Indicative Activities:
- Masterclasses (skill-building in areas such as podcasting, video editing, arts-based methods, creative and science communications, etc.)
- Equipment and room hire
- ‘Introductions to technology and kit’ sessions by the Creative Lab Technician
- Supported impact journeys with Engagement and Impact officers in GES
- ‘Inspiration sessions’ organised through the Creative Impact Living Archive

The Creative Impact Lab is equipped with a range of materials to support the visioning, development and facilitation of engagement and impact.

- Podcasting facilities both in situ and portable resources
- Art materials including clay, printing, paints and collage
- Vlogging kits
