The Music subject area (with contributions from Information Studies and the School of Critical Studies) is delighted with its excellent result in the REF2021 Research Assessment; 95% of its overall research activity has been recognised as ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’.
The Music subject area (with contributions from Information Studies and the School of Critical Studies) is delighted with its excellent result in the REF2021 Research Assessment; 95% of its overall research activity has been recognised as ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’. None of this would have been possible without the smooth teamwork of our staff and the tremendous support from the School, College and University, together with our successful collaboration with external researchers, and, particularly, non-academic partners. This is well reflected in the 100% assessment of both Environment and the Impact Case Studies as ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’ . We hope that we can build on this success in helping to enhance the creative, performing and scholarly pursuit of music, both at home and internationally.
