Will Palicki
I am currently a PhD student at the University of Glasgow in the Kaiserli lab.
My research focuses on a nuclear protein present in plants called TANDEM ZINC FINGER PLUS3, or TZP for short, capable of modulating photomorphogenesis in response to both light and temperature. TZP forms nuclear bodies with unique properties such as rapid association/dissociation in response to light, internal rearrangement, and a ring-like structure. My work specifically explores how TZP nuclear bodies regulate interactions and the role their structure plays in function. Prior to beginning my PhD, I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Aberdeen.
My upbringing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the nature there greatly inspired my love for plant science.
