Studying Safely On Our Campuses

Published: 19 August 2021

Whether you’re new to UofG or joining us for another year, we can’t wait to welcome you safely to our Libraries and study spaces on all of our campuses this year.

To help keep everyone safe, the following measures will apply in all indoor spaces on campus, including libraries and study spaces at UofG:

  • Improved airflow in our buildings, increasing both supply of mechanical ventilation and fresh air
  • Unless you are exempt, face coverings are mandatory when moving around indoors on our campuses
  • Enhanced cleaning, focusing on heavily used areas
  • Hand sanitising stations throughout our buildings
UofG Life App

From 1 September, physical distancing will be lifted in Libraries and study spaces, and capacity will return to normal levels. We still recommend that you use the UofG Life app to check how busy our study spaces are before you visit, and avoid busy times when you can.

Reach Out is Here for You

Reach Out Ambassadors will be around on campus to support you and welcome you back. Look out for the team in their blue Reach Out t-shirts and lanyards, they'll be happy to help you find the answers to any questions you have.

You can also get in touch with the team through UofG Helpdesk, and search the UofG Helpdesk Knowledge Base for instant answers any time.

Use the Library Wherever You Are

Remember you don’t need to visit the Library to get help, information and access to resources. If you have access to the internet, you can use your GUID to access our electronic collections. We offer over 80,000 e-journals and more than 1 million e-books, and we’re adding new titles all the time.

Glasgow Anywhere is full of information to support on and off-campus study, with a Library Remote section linking to the Library services and support available to you wherever you are.
