Save the date and call for abstracts for the L&T Conference

The call for proposals for presentations, digital posters and interactive workshop sessions at the 16th Annual University of Glasgow Learning and Teaching Conference is now open. This year’s theme is ‘Access to Opportunity’.

The 2023 Conference will take place over two days, with the format for each day chosen to model good practice.

  • The first day will be fully online on Wednesday 29 March 2023 and will use a flipped model of delivery. Recordings of presentations will be streamed via the Conference platform, with all presenters available on the day to take questions following their presentation.
  • The second day will be an on-campus event in James McCune Smith Learning Hub on Thursday 13 April 2023. This event will be co-ordinated by the UofG Active Learning Network Satellite Group.

For day one we welcome proposals for pre-recorded video presentations or digital posters which address the Conference theme, and which focus on one or more of the Conference sub-themes. For day two we welcome proposals for interactive workshops which address the Conference theme, and which focus on one or more of the Conference sub-themes. We also welcome proposals from individuals and groups who would like to run drop in and/or Q&A sessions on day two.

The Conference Theme: ‘Access to Opportunity’

This theme will allow us to consider how we can provide coherent approaches to learning, teaching and assessment in response to increasing diversity in our university community.

The sub-themes are designed to expand on the overall Conference theme and to help us to further embed the pillars of the current Learning and Teaching Strategy in our teaching and assessment practices, and to showcase how practitioners are achieving this.

Sub-themes

  • workplace learning
  • widening participation
  • working in partnership with FE
  • working in partnership with industry
  • graduate attributes
  • skills development

Full details will be available on the Conference website.
