University's flagship publication recognised in the 2019 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards.

The University’s Meet World Changing Glasgow flagship publication has won ‘Grand Gold’ in the 2019 CASE Circle of Excellence awards.

A ‘Grand Gold’ award is the highest accolade in the internationally recognised CASE Circle of Excellence programme and awarded for initiatives that are “exceptional or game-changing”.

Produced by External Relations in partnership with D8 Design, Meet World Changing Glasgow provides a strategic overview of the University of Glasgow within our new World Changing Glasgow brand proposition.

Internally, it has become an essential promotional resource for colleagues travelling across the globe or welcoming visitors to our campus, while externally it has become a window to the very best of what Glasgow has to offer.

Winners are selected based on a number of factors, including overall quality, innovation, use of resources and the impact on the institution on its external and internal communities.

Commenting on the submission, judges said:

“This is a GORGEOUS piece. Outstanding written content augmented by great photography and design. Every page was captivating. Good choices on stock and finishes that did not distract at all and kept the reader engaged with the content. Bravo to all involved”.

Rachel Sandison, Vice-Principal External Relations, said:

“Meet World Changing Glasgow celebrates our fantastic community of staff, students, alumni and partners, and tells the story of the University of Glasgow from our 1451 beginnings right up to the present day, as well as our ambitious plans for the future. It is wonderful to have a publication that so skilfully tells the story of the transformative impact of our world-leading research and world-changing people, and therefore has become a go-to publication for the institution as a whole.

We have supplied over 9,000 copies of our publication to facilitate stakeholder engagement initiatives here in Glasgow and on a global scale, and I am immensely proud of our publications team and the professional communications that they produce for the benefit of the university”.
