Learning & Teaching

Looking for some practical support to enhance your assessment and feedback approach? The refreshed Assessment & Feedback Resource Hub has something for you, whether you’re looking for some quick inspiration or you’re new to assessment design.

As part of the Learning & Teaching Strategy, we launched the Assessment & Feedback Hub in 2022 to support colleagues to align their practice to the Learning Through Assessment Framework (LTA). The LTA is a key pillar of the Learning & Teaching Strategy and a useful tool which outlines our institutional approach to assessment and feedback.

The Assessment & Feedback (A&F) Resources Hub is designed to support colleagues in aligning their practice to the LTA using useful guides, case studies, and toolkits.

In response to feedback from colleagues in the Practice Enhancement Tool Survey in 2026, we have refreshed the A&F Hub to make it easier to navigate and added new case studies and guides for colleagues. These are available under the four pillars of the Learning Through Assessment Framework; Meaningful, Iterative, Programmatic, and Inclusive.

In collaboration with the A&F team, this work was undertaken by Laurie Burke and Thidar Tun, Learning & Teaching Strategy Support Interns.

We are also piloting a new Methods of Assessment Alignment Tool, which is designed to support colleagues to identify appropriate methods to enable students to demonstrate their learning. Simply answer three short questions, and the tool will suggest a number of different assessment types. This may also be useful for colleagues looking to redesign or redevelop assessments within their course.

We will continue to enhance the resources and tools available on the Assessment & Feedback Resource Hub to support colleagues to align their practice to the Learning Through Assessment Framework.

If you have thoughts on how we might further improve the new Assessment & Feedback Resources Hub or the Methods of Assessment Alignment Tool, or if you would like to contribute a case study, please get in touch via afpp-workstream@glasgow.ac.uk.
