The call for proposals for presentations at the 19th Annual University of Glasgow Learning and Teaching Conference is now open. This year’s theme is 'Inclusive education in a changing environment'.

The 2026 conference will take place over two days:

  • The first day will be an on-campus event in James McCune Smith Learning Hub on Monday 30th March 2026 and will consist of a series of interactive workshops. This day will be open for all UofG colleagues to attend.
  • The second day will be hosted online on Wednesday April 1st 2026. Recordings of presentations will be streamed via the conference platform, with all presenters available on the day to take questions following their presentation. As well as all staff and students at UofG, this day will be open for external delegates to attend.

The Conference theme: Inclusive education in a changing environment

This year’s theme asks us to recognise the evolving educational landscape and the changing nature of our student body. To explore and co-create responses to these questions, this year’s conference will be arranged into four subthemes, aligning with the Learning & Teaching Strategy.

The subthemes for this year’s conference are:

  • Flexible Learning Pathways
  • Learning through assessment
  • Employability and Skills
  • Learning through a wellbeing lens.
