Biography
I am the Effective Learning Adviser for the College of Social Sciences, working in Student Learning Development (SLD) at the University of Glasgow. My teaching expertise is in academic writing, assessment and feedback practice, and technology enhanced learning.
My academic background is in English Language and Linguistics, and my research interests include experimental methods in the Humanities, computer-assisted analysis of texts, and corpus stylistics.
Areas of responsibility
I am the primary contact for all undergraduate and postgraduate taught students in the College of Social Sciences.
I run academic development and academic writing classes for students in the Colleges of Arts and Social Sciences. I also run a separate suite of classes for students writing their dissertations.
I also deliver in-course lectures and provide one-to-one appointments to students in the College of Social Sciences.
