Applications Outside the Annual Permit Application Window

Car parking permit applications are normally accepted only during the annual application period. However, applications submitted outside this window may be considered where appropriate supporting evidence is provided and one or more of the following circumstances apply:

• You are a current member of staff returning from a period of long-term absence (more than six months), such as sickness absence, sabbatical, maternity, paternity or shared parental leave, adoption leave, or special leave.
• You have a permanent mobility impairment and have been issued with a valid Blue Badge.
• You have developed a temporary mobility issue. Please refer to the relevant procedure for further information.

How to Apply

To request consideration outside the annual application period, please contact the Parking Team in the first instance.

Supporting evidence may be required and could include confirmation from Human Resources and/or your line manager.

Permit Offers

If a permit is offered, it must be accepted within two months of the offer date. Any offer that is not accepted within this timeframe will be withdrawn.
