Tours of The Hunterian
All Hunterian venues are now closed to the public and our exhibitions, events, talks and tours are suspended until further notice. We will continue to provide regular updates here on our website and on our social media channels:
MUSE Tour Programme
Tours led by our student MuSEs (Museum Student Educators). Tours last approximately 30 minutes and are free of charge. (Where there is a charge for entry to temporary exhibitions, the tour is included in the ticket price).
Hunterian Art Gallery
Gallery Tours: Tuesday - Sunday: 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.00pm.
Possible tours are: Whistler and the Glasgow School, The Scottish Colourists or Art Gallery Highlights.
Antonine Wall Tour: Tuesday - Saturday: 11.00am, 12 noon, 2.00pm and 3.00pm and Sundays: 12 noon, 2.00pm and 3.00pm.
Other Museum Tours: 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Guides will advise at the start of the tour which tour they will give. Possible tours are: Main Hall Highlights, Science and Innovation, Medical History Highlights or Dinosaurs.
Visitors should be aware that as we are dependent on student volunteers to deliver these tours, there are unfortunately times when study or work commitments hinder the guides' attendance. Naturally every attempt is made to provide cover and ensure that the tour goes ahead but it is not always possible.
