Students interested in the MPhil in Textile Conservation can take a 30 minute guided tour of the Centre for Textile Conservation. You will be able to see the facilities used by our students and view the current year’s cohort taking a class. The programme convenor, Karen Thompson, will take the tour, allowing an ideal opportunity to ask any questions about the programme.

Kelvin Hall – The Hunterian’s Collection Study Space
Meeting Point: 1.45pm at the Arts Stands in GUU Dining Rooms, Level 1 

This historic and much loved venue has been transformed into an exciting new centre of cultural excellence providing access to collections, temporary displays, teaching and research, alongside a state-of-the art Glasgow Club health and fitness centre. A range of postgraduate courses are based in the building with access to the 1.5 million artefacts in the Hunterian’s encyclopaedic collection. This session includes an overview of the building and its partner organisations (UofG’s The Hunterian; Glasgow Club and Glasgow Museums; National Library of Scotland) a sneak peek at The Hunterian Stores and a tour of The Hunterian Collections Study Centre.

Meet the College of Arts Graduate School team to find out more about postgraduate research study, the research environment, and funding opportunities for Arts and Humanities. Hear from current Doctoral students about their work, and have the opportunity to network with supervisors from the Graduate School. Refreshments provided.
