Psychological Studies

According to the British Psychological Society, Psychology is the study of people: how they think, how they act, react and interact. Psychology is concerned with all aspects of behaviour and the thoughts, feelings and motivations underlying such behaviour” (BPS, 2018).
Come along to this talk to find out about the many domains of psychology, and how our programme can start you along your career path to being a professional psychologist. We will speak about counselling, clinical, social, developmental, cognitive, health, occupational and educational psychology domains.
The MSc in Psychological Studies is a challenging one-year conversion programme designed to provide you with a broad and critical awareness of psychological theory and practice, together with opportunities to focus on aspects of psychology of particular relevance to your own experience and interests. The programme will enable you to build on the transferable skills you have attained in your previous undergraduate degree. It will provide you with the necessary level of study to meet the standards and requirements for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society, and move you forward to meet your career goals.

This session will provide an opportunity to find out about the leadership programmes available for teachers which are offered by the School of Education. These include the Pg. Certificate in Teacher Leadership; the Pg. Certificate in Middle Leadership and Management and the Into and In Headship Certificate and Diploma programmes. In addition, there will be information about the MSc in Advanced Educational Leadership, a new programme for education practitioners from all sectors.
