Colleagues from the School presented their research at the first International Relations workshop as part of the recently established Nankai University-University of Glasgow Joint Research Centre.
As a “prelude” to the 10th anniversary of the Joint Graduate School between Nankai University and the University of Glasgow, five colleagues from the School of Social & Political Sciences (Professors Bayer, Carbone, and Karyotis together with Drs Crilley and Miller) within the Division of Political and International Studies presented their research at the Zhou Enlai School of Government at Nankai University in Tianjin in mid-May.
Part of the newly established Nankai University-University of Glasgow Joint Research Centre, the workshop under the theme “New Trends of International Political Economy in the Age of Turbulence” facilitated lively and rigorous exchange on geopolitical challenges, including on global (dis)order, international cooperation and aid, economic stability, disarmament, and climate change. The Research Center underpins both universities’ ambitions for continued and intensified research links, hoping it will promote deeper research collaborations in the form of joint PhD supervisions, research publications, and joint funding bids.
