Early Career Scholar Fund
The University of Glasgow, with the support of the John Templeton Foundation, has announced a call for its Early Career Scholar Fund.
The Fund is aimed at supporting the next generation of Smith scholars, and is open to anyone both in and outwith the University of Glasgow. These could include PhD students, and recent post-doctoral and early career academics working on Adam Smith or whose research explores ideas rooted in the Smithian tradition.
Applicants wishing to attend a particular conference relating to Adam Smith and his work can apply for the Fund, which will cover travel and attendance costs, giving scholars the opportunity to disseminate new research, build their academic profile and network with peers.
Conferences could include the University of Glasgow’s Tercentenary Week, or any other events taking place across the world focused on Smith.
Initial enquiries should be directed to Dr Craig Smith.
