Playlist for life

We all have a soundtrack to our lives, the first dance at your wedding, a song your mum sang to you as a child. Researchers have highlighted the potential for this personal music to alleviate dementia symptoms such as anxiety and agitation, reducing the need for medication. Research has also shown that even the smallest improvements may delay or negate the need for someone with dementia to go into institutional care. Playlist for Life is developing and implementing the use of this simple, low-cost intervention to help people with dementia and those close to them.
