The opportunity to conduct a collaborative dissertation is certainly something which I would recommend to future students. Through my collaboration with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, I spoke to several different employees whose insight helped me to refine my research project and conduct a study which I knew was relevant currently. Additionally, the support from my collaborative partner increased my confidence in my research skills and allowed me to see their applicability outside of academia.
