About this event

The new CoSS Addressing Inequalities Interdisciplinary Research Theme aims to draw together researchers from across the College with diverse interests in inequality, equality and human rights to address current global challenges, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The Theme leads: Sayantan Ghosal (Adam Smith Business School), Srabani Maitra (School of Education), Cindy Gray and Francesca Scrinzi (School of Political and Social Sciences) invite you to the Theme Launch Event focusing on the current UKRI GCRF/Newton Fund Agile Response COVID-19 in LMIC Call

The aim of the workshop is to identify 3-4 projects that build synergistically on the expertise within CoSS to be developed into world-leading proposals that address inequalities within the call’s remit. It will be held on Zoom.

By the end of the workshop, we will have identified interdisciplinary team members and lead(s) for each project, with a clear aim, research objectives and plan of action to work up the proposal for submission.

To enable us to achieve this, we would ask all attendees to come to the workshop prepared to do a short (around a minute) ‘pitch’ of either a concrete idea, or the areas of interest that they would like to contribute to.
