Our outward-looking, dynamic subject area has close connections with the theatre industry, providing opportunities to learn from and work with practitioners and organisations of national and international standing.

Our courses are grounded in a deep critical engagement with a range of forms and practices of theatre.

We combine historical, theoretical and practice-based approaches to learning in a degree programme which counts among its visionary alumni multi-award-winning director, John Tiffany; award-winning comedian, Richard Gadd and Artistic Director and Chief Executive of the National Theatre of Scotland, Jackie Wylie.
