The University of Glasgow brings together expertise in clinical medicine, dentistry, and health care.
Research that matters
Through our major research areas we are tackling Scotland’s biggest killers: cardiovascular disease and cancer.
Our range of activity begins with research into genes and progresses to clinical trials. This provides a ‘cell to cure’ approach focused on fundamental understanding, health improvement, disease prevention and cure.
Our outstanding research was recognised in the 2014 REF when we were ranked 6th in the UK for 'research power' in Clinical Medicine, while at our dental school 93% of the research carried out was judged to be internationally excellent.
At the forefront of clinical interventions and discovery, we are one of the largest and most prestigious medical schools in Europe.
This means that if you study with us, you can benefit from our outstanding facilities and pioneering teaching methods, including the best in clinical experience.
