Stuart Wilson

 Early in my undergraduate degree I became interested in the boundary between physics and the biomedical sciences - medical imaging is of particular interest to me. The aim of my research project is to improve upon current deep tissue imaging performance through the application of Computational and Advanced imaging techniques.

Currently, microendoscopic imaging suffers from a limited Depth of Field (DOF) and small Field of View (FOV). Using a computational technique developed within the Imaging Concepts group I am looking at improving both of these which will provide a good starting point for investigating the use of multiple advanced microscopy techniques through a microendoscope system.
