Daniel Olesker

My research involves a combination of experimental and computational techniques to improve certain aspects of imaging performance during the study of dynamic biological processes via fluorescence microscopy, where high speed 3D information is desired.  Specifically, I am interested in the use of pupil-plane engineering to extend the narrow in-focus depth range inherent to conventional microscopy and therefore overcome some of the limitations this imposes on factors such as imaging speed and resolution.
