Undergraduate prizes

2023 RCPCH Prize Winner

The 2023 RCPCH Prize was awarded to Year 5 MB ChB student, Beth Dillon, following her successful application for nomination on behalf of the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing. 

2023 Yorkhill Portfolio Prize Winners

The 2023 Yorkhill Portfolio Prize of £750 and Yorkhill medal was awarded to Year 5 MBChB student, Gemma Swann. 

Runner up prize of £250 was awarded to Year 5 MBChB student, Alicia Weaver.

2023 Yorkhill Essay Prize Winners

The 2023 Yorkhill Essay Prize of £750 was awarded to Year 2 MBChB student, Freya Ffion Semple, for her essay entitled, "The failure of agencies to protect Matilda Wormwood from harm : A case study".  

The runner-up prize was awarded to Year 2 MBChB student, Nina Jackson, for her essay entitled, "Childhood Experiences :  Factors, Effects and Poorer Healthcare outcomes"

2023 Hall Prize Winner

The 2023 Hall Prize was awarded to Year 5, MB ChB student, Megan Maguire.

Postgraduate Prizes

2023 Harry Stewart Hutchinson Prize Winner

The 2023 Harry Stewart Hutchinson prize was awarded to Dr Victoria Holdstock, following her submission of the research publication entitled, "National case series of group A streptococcus pleural empyema in children : clinical and microbiological features".  

2023 Yorkhill Postgraduate Research Prize

The 2023 Yorkhill Postgraduate Research Prize was awarded jointly to: Ashley D Johnstone, for her paper entitled, "Quality of life of children and young peope with anterior chest wall deformity : a systematic review of the literature" and to Dr Elizabeth M A Henderson, for her paper entitled, "Assessing maternal alcohol consumption in pregnancy : does phosphatidylethanol measured from day 5 newborn blood spot cards have any value?  An observational, population-based study"
