Dental students from Sun Yat Sen University arrive in Glasgow

Five senior students from the Sun Yat Sen University School of Stomatology arrived in Glasgow on Sunday 31 May from Guangzhou to spend four weeks at Glasgow Dental School.

Five senior students from the Sun Yat Sen University School of Stomatology arrived in Glasgow on Sunday 31 May from Guangzhou to spend four weeks at Glasgow Dental School. Peishan Huang, Shunyi Yao, Shuangquan Wan, Wenshou Wang, Xin Shu will spend time observing a range of clinical activities and learning more about the UK dental profession and training in the UK. A group of BDS 4 students from Glasgow are about to leave for Guangzhou for a reciprocal four week visit to Sun Yat Sen University.

The University of Glasgow has a formal partnership with Sun Yat Sen University and the Dental School has now established strong links with the SYSU School of Stomatology. A lecturer from SYSU, Yan Zhou, will be joining us for a year in early August to undertake a research programme with our Infection & Immunity and Community Oral Health Research Groups.

We are delighted to welcome Peishan Huang, Shunyi Yao, Shuangquan Wan, Wenshou Wang, Xin Shu to Glasgow Dental School and look forward to hosting their visit over the next four weeks.
