Biography
I received my PhD in Statistics from SBU, Iran, in 2011. From 2012 to 2023, I worked as an Assistant and later Associate Professor at Razi University, Iran. From 2023 to 2025, I was a Research Associate at Lancaster University before joining the University of Glasgow in July 2025.
Research interests
My research focuses on developing and applying statistical methods for spatial and spatio-temporal data. I am especially interested in point process models, geostatistics and disease mapping, with applications in areas such as epidemiology, ecology, the environment and seismology. I also work on statistical computing and software development to support the analysis of complex data.
