I received my PhD in Statistics from SBU, Iran, in 2011 and then worked as an Assistant and Associate Professor at Razi University until 2023. Before joining the University of Glasgow in July 2025, I was a Research Associate at Lancaster University.
Research interests
My research focuses on developing and applying statistical methods for spatial and spatio-temporal data. I am especially interested in point process models, geostatistics and disease mapping, with applications in areas such as epidemiology, ecology, the environment and seismology. I also work on statistical computing and software development to support the analysis of complex data.
