Topology of moduli spaces and birational maps

Abstract
I will discuss topology of instanton moduli spaces and how they change under birational transformations of the base. Then I will present joint work with Christophe Eyral where we prove the homotopy version of the Atiyah--Jones conjecture for rational surfaces.
