The Goncharov Lie coalgebra and its applications

Abstract

In this talk I will introduce the notion of the Goncharov Lie coalgebra of a field, defined in terms of the E_∞ homology of the general linear groups. Then I will explain some applications of the Goncharov Lie coalgebra to the structure of mixed Tate motives over number fields and to bounded cohomology of semisimple Lie groups. All the results in this talk are joint work with A. Kupers and D. Rudenko.
