Abstract
The GES (Geographical & Earth
Sciences) GTA convening team discuss the GTA
management practices implemented in GES and provide an overview of our
GTA training and development model; this
includes our radical reorganisation of GTA allocation and
training post-COVID, the impacts in terms of
administrative efficiencies and improvements in GTA
experience around communication and community building.
We reflect on and address ongoing challenges of low GTA
numbers, constrained training budget and shifting institutional focus and GTA
priorities. We also highlight related scholarship
outputs and touch on the range of scholarship interests in the SPACE*
research group in GES.
