Abstract
The Cohen-Lenstra heuristics predict the distribution of class groups of number fields. Originally the number fields were ordered by discriminant, but Bartel-Lenstra found counter-examples with this ordering. In this talk I will put forward conjectures for which orderings should be allowed. This will be achieved via a new framework for heights on classifying stacks. This is joint work with Ross Paterson and Tim Santens.
