Abstract
Hecke algebras are generated by elements whose multiplication is controlled by an underlying Weyl group. In the $q = 0$ specialisation, it is determined by an operation known as the Demazure product in the Weyl group, which is well understood in the finite and affine cases, but is a priori not well-defined in the double affine case. In this talk, we discuss conjectures on generalising an approach developed by F. Schremmer using the quantum Bruhat graph, and results so far on using this as a definition in the double-affine setting.
