Abstract
Since its definition in the early 2000's by Givental and Lee, the study of quantum K theory rings found applications in many parts of mathematics and physics. In this talk I will give an introduction to this ring, including explaining some of the foundations of quantum K Schubert Calculus (multiplications by Schubert classes, and presentations by generators and relations). If time permits, I will explain how the direct sum of quantum K rings of all Grassmannians Gr(k,n), for n fixed, may be realized as a module over a Yang-Baxter algebra.
