Abstract
The double Bruhat graph was introduced by Naito and Watanabe to describe periodic R–polynomials of affine Weyl groups. In this talk, we will explain how it arises naturally from the study of semi–infinite orbits in affine flag varieties. This has applications to affine Hecke algebras and affine Deligne–Lusztig varieties.
