Abstract

In the past few decades, while the differential rotation profile of the solar interior has now been measured accurately thanks to helioseismology, there is no consensus on its exact origins and whether the magnetic fields have a determining rôle. In this talk/report, I will discuss the current modelling efforts, as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead from my perspective.
