Abstract

Quiver varieties are a class of moduli spaces which on top of their algebraic structure carry a symplectic form and often have singularities. In 2008, Yoshinori Namikawa associated to such singular symplectic varieties a “Weyl group”, which closely resembles the classical Weyl groups from Lie theory. In this talk, I take you on a tour through the subject. I will explain how these Weyl groups play out in the case of quiver varieties and highlight some generalizations in the CY2 context.
