Poincaré duality for groupoid homology

Abstract
Torsion free nilpotent groups satisfy the Poincaré duality, which says that its k-th homology group is isomorphic to its (n - k)-th cohomology group, where n is the dimension of the associated Lie group. I explain an analogue in the groupoid setting that allows a computation of homology for étale groupoids arising from Anosov diffeomorphisms and other hyperbolic dynamical systems.
