Set-theoretic Yang-Baxter equation and near braces

Abstract
I will discuss the solution of the set-theoretic Yang-Baxter equation and the underlying algebraic structure. Starting with certain conditions emerging from the YBE I will reconstruct the underlying algebraic structures, called near braces. Then using the notion of near braces I will show how to derive non-degenerate solutions of the set-theoretic YBE. I will also briefly discuss the associated Drinfeld twist and the relation of braces with racks and quandles.
