Analytic methods for purity of strong approximation

Abstract
We report joint work in progress with Yang Cao concerning the strong approximation property (off any single place) for open subsets of affine quadrics, whose complement has codimension at least two. This is achieved via generalising Ekedahl’s “infinite version of the Chinese remainder theorem” to affine quadrics.
