Extracting information from nuclear approximations

The completely positive approximation property allows us to encode a separable nuclear C*-algebra in terms of inductive systems of finite dimensional ones with completely positive connecting maps. Although all information about the original C*-algebra is stored in such a system, it is often not easy to extract without additional conditions; such conditions for example give rise to Bratteli diagrams, or nuclear dimension. I will discuss possible ways to read off other information, such as K-theory, the existence of Cartan MASAs, or Rokhlin dimension, from such systems.
