The Suzuki functor provides a bridge between the representation theories of affine Kac-Moody algebras and rational Cherednik algebras. At the critical level the functor has interesting geometric applications. The completed universal enveloping algebra at the critical level has a large centre, and its spectrum can be described in terms of opers on the punctured disc. The rational Cherednik algebra at t=0 exhibits a similar pattern - it has a large centre whose spectrum is isomorphic to the classical Calogero-Moser space. The main goal of my talk is to sketch the construction of an embedding of the Calogero-Moser space into the space of opers using the Suzuki functor.
