Abstract

It has been known for a while that for embeddings in codimension 3 or more, concordance implies isotopy. The statement is not true for codimension 2 embeddings. We use Morse theoretical tools to show that in codimension 2 concordance of links implies regular homotopy. This is a joint project with Mark Powell (UQAM) and Peter Teichner (MPIM)
