DHR Categories and Duality for Compact Groups

Abstract
In this talk I will introduce a generalisation of the Tannaka-Krein duality for compact groups due to Doplicher and Roberts. The focus will be on the objects, the so-called DHR categories, coming from Algebraic Quantum Field Theory, that have led to the discovery of a more abstract duality theory for such groups.
