The Rokhlin property for compact groups: classification and crossed products

We study the Rokhlin property for compact group actions on C*-algebras (whose
definition is due to Hirshberg and Winter), and study crossed product by such actions.
Specifically for the circle group, we obtain classification theorems when the algebra
is separable, purely infinite, simple and nuclear, in terms of the KK-class of a certain
automorphism naturally associated to the circle action, or in terms of a certain extension
of K-groups in the presence of the UCT. The range of the invariant can be completely
described if one moreover assumes that the action has the _continuous_ Rokhlin
