A q-hypergeometric frame for integrable systems related with the q-Onsager algebra

Abstract

A q-hypergeometric approach for the family of quantum integrable models generated from the q-Onsager algebra will be presented. After a brief presentation of the motivations, I will recall the basic example of the quantum harmonic oscillator which Hamiltonian's eigenfunctions are the Hermite polynomials and mention some generalizations. Extending the analysis to the q-Onsager algebra and related integrable models, a basis of q-hypergeometric (multivariable) eigenfunctions will be presented. Applications and perspectives for the open XXZ spin chain will be briefly discussed.
