Abstract

We review Matsumoto's notion of continuous orbit equivalence for one-sided topological Markov shifts. We then introduce orbit equivalence for directed graphs, and examine the conditions under which an orbit equivalence of graphs is equivalent to there being a diagonal-preserving isomorphism between graph C*-algebras. Along the way we will talk about some groupoids associated to graphs. This is joint work with Toke Meier Carlsen and Mike Whittaker.
