Abstract

In 1999, Chas and Sullivan uncovered structures on the ordinary and equivariant homology of the free loop space of a closed, oriented manifold. These structures have been computed for compact globally symmetric spaces of rank 1, for certain orbifolds, surfaces of genus g, Lie groups,... The aim of this talk is to study fibrations who are not principal and whose fibre is an H-space and use these results to give results for the String Topology of certain highly connected manifolds, including simply connected four manifolds.
