Abstract
Recent constructions of exotic smooth structures on 4-manifolds can be used to expand our understanding of generalized complex structures. The talk will be a description of the produce of merging these two research areas together, which yields existence results for a myriad of 4-manifolds and also unveils interesting phenomena regarding generalized complex structures.
