Abstract

The q-Onsager algebras Oq(bg) introduced in a paper by Baseilhac and Belliard (arXiv:0906.1215) will be presented. These algebras can be realised as co-ideal sub-algebras of the quantum groups Uq(bg) and appear in the context of quantum integrable models with boundaries as spectrum gen- erating algebras. Some algebraic properties of Oq(csl2) (integrable hierarchy, representation theory, connection with reection equation) and the generalisation of these results to other algebras bg will be discuss. Finally, we will mention a similar formulation for the co-ideal sub-algebras of the Yangians Y (g).
