Links Concordant to the Hopf Link

Abstract
Two n-component links in the 3-sphere are concordant if they cobound n embedded annuli in S^3 x I. In joint work (in progress) with Stefan Friedl, we follow a program similar to the seminal work of Casson and Gordon, to obtain new obstructions to a 2 component link with linking number 1 being concordant to the Hopf link.
